Local Area Survival
Main Topic : exchanges of farm experiences, transmitting agricultural technology and
                   planning or making farm villages, increasing income of farm families

The subdivision seeks for sustainable development of the farm community. Its goal is to improve farm family income through activating eco-tourism, using humanitarian, social and natural environment. In particular, it tries to share details of Korea’s “New Community Movement,” which is well evaluated as a way to fight poverty especially in farm areas, and find proper development models. In other words, it focuses on development and exchanges of agricultural technology, such as organic farming or low-cost techs to improve productivity and address poverty in rural areas.
